Easy Apps with App Inventor (placeholder recipe)

Published? false
FormatLanguage: WikiFormat

Problem:

You want to generate Android applications without needing to write either Java code or HTML.

Solution:

Use App Inventor, a Blocks-based environment originally from Google and now maintained at MIT's Center for Mobile Learning.

Discussion:

Unfortunately we do not have a recipe on this subject yet. If somebody wants to contribute this I'd be very happy!

Meanwhile, readers can get the O'Reilly book on App Inventor (see [1]) or consult the online documentation at [2].

If you're really dedicated, you can run your own App Inventor site under Google App Engine, as it is all open source; see [3].
